Lunette Menstrual Cup Review

Another month, another period, and another menstrual cup review!

This month, I bring you Lunette!

I used this menstrual cup towards the end of my last month period and this months. I felt pretty confident with this one. After my last cup review, I knew what to do and what NOT to do! haha

I do want to remind everyone why you should choose a menstrual cup over conventional tampons and pads! Check it out here!

This cup is a little firm. So, getting a fold that works for you may take a second. First time around I used the heart fold. Simply, by squeezing the 2 sides together and then folding it over. This fold took a second for it to pop open. I wasn’t exactly sure if it was in the correct spot, so I just went with it…  well needless to say it wasn’t exactly and I leaked, but I was able to go back into the bathroom and take it out and put it back in with no problem and then it was fine!

It’s a really comfortable cup! Never had any issues. I did debate for a second on trimming the tip. It’s pretty long and I could feel it kinda hanging out.. but, I decided to just ride it out and I’m glad I did. It didn’t bother me at all. Plus, I was glad I had that extra length on the tip because it really helps to take it out!

Next time when I went to go put it back in, I tried the triangular fold. This one was hands down the easiest! Once again, very comfortable and didn’t leak!

Overall this made for one happy period! I’ve been having some rough ones lately and it’s nice that I don’t have to worry about tampons and can have something dependable! Winner!!

Lunette will definitely be a cup that I’ll keep in my bathroom for sure!

They have 2 different sizes and 5 different colors(orange, blue, purple, clear or white, and yellow).

Veeda Tampon/Pad Review

I really wanted to try Veeda products after I read about their story on how they started.. Surprisingly, it was started by two men! I thought that was pretty interesting! They found the importance of women using natural menstrual products and how it wasn’t always easy to find! The risk factors of using conventional menstrual products were high and they were determined to fix that issue. They even wanted to save the environment!  All a plus in my book!

They offer feminine wipes and various types of tampons, pads, and liners. I got the opportunity to try tampons, thin pad and liners.

First, let’s talk tampons…

The positives…  It’s natural cotton.. No chemicals or dyes and no chlorine!! It’s comfortable and absorbent! It’s compact and fits well in a purse or jeans pocket. I didn’t have any issues with leaking or wearing for an extended amount of time. The tampon itself is biodegradable..HUGE PLUS! However, my one negative or con.. It’s a plastic applicator! 🙁 I understand that is how the majority of compact tampons are made, but I personally prefer a cardboard applicator. One cardboard with break down and not cause any waste, and there is no worry of inserting plastic into your body…  That’s just my personal preference and it did not effect the overall performance of the tampon. 🙂

Secondly…. The Liner!

I really liked the liners! They are thin, but they don’t bunch! That’s one the worst things I hate about liners! I wear them for an hour and I can either feel them shifting or bunching in the middle. That wasn’t the case. Not sure if this was because of the adhesive or the cotton that they use where they didn’t shift. Either way, I was happy! I wore a liner when I first tried the tampons. Not saying I didn’t trust the tampons, I’ve just experienced leaks before and I wanted to avoid the mishap from happening again!

They are hypoallergenic and biodegradable! They are made from all natural cotton with no chemicals or dyes. No fragrances or perfumes. I will be purchasing these again!

Last, but not least….Ultra Thin Pads!

I usually like to wear pads to bed. I used to be totally against this because I would worry about leaking. I was noticing though, I’d get cramps a lot in my sleep. I had read some forums and someone suggested to only using pads to your body can freely bleed and there isn’t any pressure being applied to the cervix while sleeping. I am not sure if this is true or not, but I did notice a difference! I am picky though when it comes to pads while I sleep, because I don’t want to ruin any sheets. They have to be absorbent and dependable that they will not shift while I toss and turn. Veeda met both of those!

Also, being hypoallergenic and made of all natural cotton is always a plus. It’s thin and doesn’t bunch or make you feel like your wearing a diaper! No chemicals or fragrances… I like it! This is a great natural alternative for pads! Highly suggested!!

Overall, Veeda is a great brand and I will be purchasing more of their pads, liners and I’m excited to see what their feminine wipes are like! If you’d like to see what Veeda offers, make sure you check out their website! They have a store locator on their site that will make finding Veeda easier! You can also find them over on Facebook!

Miessence Deodorant Review

Deodorant….It’s a pretty hot topic in all the natural/organic forums I am in. People are always struggling to find a natural deodorant that works! One without hidden chemicals, parabens and aluminum.

There are ton of natural deodorants out there and I have some that I prefer, but I am always open to try new ones to expand my list of dependable ones.

I have reviewed some of Miessence products before that Marie Beerman had supplied to me. You can read that review HERE. After, she offered the ability to review their deodorant! Of course, I jumped at the opportunity!

Miessence Tahitian Breeze Deodorant!

This is a roll on deodorant. Much different than all the other deodorants I have used that were all natural. Most are a paste or stick.

At first, the scent was a little off putting for me. Smelled a little musty. I did ask a few people if they were able to smell it on me, because I felt like it was strong. However, everyone said they couldn’t smell it. I am really sensitive to some smells, so maybe it was just me.

Despite the smell, the deodorant really did work! I usually reapply a couple times throughout the day. I didn’t have to with this. When I did sweat, you couldn’t smell it. It was completely deodorized. I have noticed with some other deodorants, they just mask the smell, but its still there. Miessence deodorant actually eliminated it!

Check out the ingredients!!

certified organic aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice

Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda)

Non-GMO Xanthan Gum

certified organic pelargonium graveolens (geranium) essential oil

Nothing hidden, no aluminum or harmful chemicals! If you’re unaware of why you should be using an all natural deodorant please check out HERE!

Miessence deodorant is definitely one you need to put on your list to try!! If you’d like to please contact Marie at or go to their website HERE !

Bambo Nature Diaper Review

Oh diapers… I can not wait till I don’t have to buy them anymore. However until that point, I try to be as picky as I can be with what brands I buy. Babies can have super sensitive skin and diapers can be one of the main reasons why they can get diaper rash. Conventional diapers bleach their cotton, use perfumes and fragrances and even chlorine. Not to mention, most that you buy can sit in the landfill for 500 YEARS before decomposing! YIKES!

I am a big supporter for cloth diapering. They are more of an investment in the beginning, but the money you save over time is huge. I’ve cloth diapered both my children to a certain age. Let’s be honest though, cloth diapers aren’t always the easiest when your on the go. The convenience of disposable diapers is huge.

A while back, I made a post about natural and organic brands for baby products. One of the categories were for diapers. Some of them I had already tried, but one I hadn’t yet was Bambo Nature. It was time!

Bambo offers a eco friendly diaper that is super absorbent, but doesn’t have any of the harmful chemicals or allergens.

My youngest is in diapers 24/7 and my oldest only wears some form of diaper or pull up to bed. I knew I’d be able to give these diapers a good test! Both of my girls wear a size 5, and Bambo’s sizing is true.

I have to mention that they are absolutely adorable and very soft!

They held up to every absorbency test that I could throw at them. If it was either overnight or a long outing, we never had an issue with leakage. The one thing I loved, was that it kept the moisture off the surface. So, even if the diaper was wet, it didn’t feel like that.

They are really flexible and held up the test of an 18 month of running around with just the diaper on. She’s pretty rough on diapers. One, she loves to be naked, so she definitely tried to rip it off a few times…it stayed on!

She’s got some thigh rolls and most diapers leave marks.. not these, she seemed pretty comfortable in them…

I mean, look at this diaper bum!

Is that not just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?

ok.. I may be a tad bit bias…

BUT, I really liked these diapers!

They are such a great alternative to conventional diapers.

They are not that much more either than conventional diapers and you get so much more with them. Knowing that they have zero irritants and allergens, means less diaper rash and less chemicals being introduced into your baby’s body!

You can easily get these diapers for Bambo’s website or other retailers. They also make pull ups and baby wipes!
